About LookAway

LookAway helps people build healthier screen habits without turning breaks into another source of distraction. It combines short screen breaks, blink reminders, posture nudges, and context-aware automation into a product that feels more like a native Mac utility than a productivity dashboard.

The app can pause or defer reminders during meetings, calls, video playback, screen recording, fullscreen gaming, and other high-engagement moments. It also supports automation through Shortcuts, AppleScript, Focus Filters, and custom actions during breaks.

LookAway Mirror extends the experience to iPhone, so when a Mac break starts, distracting apps and websites on the phone can be blocked too.

I'm Kushagra Agarwal, the indie developer behind LookAway. I build softwares with a focus on thoughtful tools for people who spend long hours working at a computer.

LookAway came from a simple observation: most break reminder apps are technically useful, but hard to live with. I wanted to make something calmer, more adaptive, and more respectful of focus.
